Coombs looking for guys to step up

Follow Noon | Givler | Axelrod

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs has become a fan favorite with his fire on the sidelines and on the practice field and has found himself to be the star of more than one video on social media with his vocal coaching style.

The long-time coach has also become a favorite of the players as well for his no nonsense way of working with them and he is pressing his guys for the next man to step up in the first game of the season with the suspension to Bradley Roby and will now be looking at Armani Reeves to step up in his first career start in Roby's absence.

We talked with Coombs on Monday after practice about how his depth chart is starting to set up, not only at corner but also at nickel (back) and dime (back) as well as how special teams are starting to look with his recent promotion to Special Teams Coordinator. Check out what Coombs had to say in this free video update.
