Buckeyes land No. 3 for 2014

So far, so good for Ohio State offensive line recruiting in the class of 2014 as the Buckeyes have landed another junior lineman in Lancaster (Ohio) product Kyle Trout. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound prospect met with the Ohio State coaches this morning before the Men's basketball game against Indiana and gave the staff his pledge in person.

"We got here at 8:30, Kyle committed first thing this morning," Trout's father, Kevin Trout, told BuckeyeGrove.com in a text message.

Trout chose Ohio State over offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia, among others. He was also seeing interest from schools such as Michigan and Wisconsin. Trout took just two weeks to weigh his offer from the Buckeyes and is just the latest Lancaster product to stay local joining the likes of Bobby Carpenter, Jim Cordle, and Luke Roberts who have recently come out of the program.

Trout is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and is one of the top overall prospects in the state of Ohio. We will have more on this commitment later today as Trout is still on campus taking in the Ohio State/Indiana Men's basketball game.
