COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Buckeyes picked up two National Letters of Intent on Wednesday with the signings of forward Marc Loving and guard Kameron Williams for the class of 2013 on the first day of the early signing period.

Both players are rated as four-star prospects by Rivals.com but both came to Ohio State via very different ways with Loving committing to the Buckeyes 27 months ago while Williams gave his pledge shortly after his official visit less than two months ago.

Loving is listed at 6-foot-8 and in the neighborhood of 215 pounds and has grown a couple of inches since he committed to Matta back in 2010. He is from Toledo (Ohio) St. John's high school and hopes to continue in the long line of successful Ohio State basketball players from the greater Toledo area, including Jim Jackson, Kelvin Ransey and most recently William Buford.

"We have followed Marc's career closely for several years," Ohio State head coach Thad Matta said in a university provided release. "He is a terrific young man and is a skilled basketball player. He fits in well with our program and has a bright future at Ohio State."

Williams is a shooting guard from Baltimore (Md.) and played at a storied program in his own right at Mount St. Joseph. Williams was a pure scorer on the AAU circuit and averaged 22.2 points per game for the Nike Baltimore Elite and shot 53-percent from the field and a blistering 48-percent from beyond the arc.

"Kam is another great fit for us," Matta said. "He has a natural gift for scoring the basketball. He has a natural feel for the game and I look forward to incorporating his skill set in our program."

The Buckeyes do have room to add a big man in this class, either toward the end of the early signing period or in the late signing period which starts April 17th of 2013. Matta is unable to confirm of any names that the Buckeyes are pursuing per NCAA regulations.

Ohio State is set to lose only one senior after this season with the graduation of Evan Ravenel but many people feel that this could be the last year for Deshaun Thomas in the scarlet and gray after making an agonizing decision to return to Ohio State for the 2012-13 season.
