Barnes trims list

Harrison Barnes has taken a giant step forward in his recruitment. The 6-foot-6, 206-pound small forward from Ames (IA) Senior High School has trimmed his list of schools and just a handful remain. Who is left standing for the No. 2 ranked player in the 2010 class? Jayhawk Slant has the very latest inside.

Throughout the spring and summer, Barnes, the top ranked small forward in the 2010 class, emerged as one of the top players in the class. Programs such as Duke, Florida, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Stanford and UCLA heavily recruited the five-star stud.
