Five-Star Barnes highlights weekend tourney

When All Iowa Attack Red arrives in Lawrence, Kan., for the Jayhawk Invitational, which begins on Friday, all eyes will be focused on Harrison Barnes. Not only is the 6-foot-6, 206-pound small forward from Ames (IA) Senior High School the No. 4 ranked player in the class of 2010, he's also a top priority for Bill Self and Kansas. While Barnes has remained relatively quiet since the beginning of his junior season, the five-star phenom spent some quality time with Jayhawk Slant. For the very latest on Barnes, come inside.

From the time his junior season started, Barnes, the top ranked small forward in the class of 2010, was a man of few words. Instead of talking about his recruitment and, at the same time, trying to remain focused on capturing a state championship; he put his recruitment on the backburner and wouldn't answer any questions concerning his future plans.
