N.C. pass rusher has two early offers

Running back Kevin Parks may have been the main early attraction at West Rowan High in Mount Ulla, N.C., but with his early commitment to Virginia the focus at that high school now shifts to defensive end/outside linebacker Chris Smith.

As a junior, the 6-foot-2, 230-pound Smith had a monster season. He recorded 117 tackles, including an eye-popping 25 sacks, 44 quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and a pair of pass breakups while helping lead West Rowan to a 3-A state title.

Thus it's no surprise that Smith's recruitment has been picking up in recent weeks.
