McVey keeping an open mind

Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius has been a regular stop for Big Ten recruiters in recent years, sending players such as brother Pat and Mike Massey to Michigan, wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez to Ohio State and quarterback Brian Hoyer to Michigan State.

The latest member of the Wildcats' squad to receive such attention is linebacker Scott McVey. Standing in at 5-11, 215 pounds, he already carried scholarship opportunities from Ohio State, Stanford, Iowa, Michigan State, Boston College and other when he learned last week that the Wolverines were joining the mix with an offer.
