Gallon helps keep Apopka alive
Trying to explain how his team lost 41-21 to Apopka this past weekend, Timber Ridge head coach Jim Buckridge told the Orlando Sentinel there was just "too much Gallon." The Gallon he was referring to is Apopka senior quarterback and Michigan commitment Jeremy Gallon.
The 5-8, 165-pound Gallon has been playing injured for much of the second half of the season, yet he still rushed for 137 yards including a 56-yard touchdown jaunt that left several Timber Ridge defenders grasping for air. The win gives the Blue Darters a chance for redemption this weekend against East Ridge, one of only two teams they lost to in the regular season.
