Crab City Fall Classic has Hoya and other flavor

September 21, 2007 - Many recruitniks in the cyber world long to see their school's recruiting targets in person, allowing for personal analysis of these student-athlete's skill sets. Frankly, to do so not only educates observers, but adds to the thrill of being a fan, as anyone who has seen eventual future college and professional stars early can attest.

Logistics many times snafu those plans, since the travel team tournaments that boast top players can be far flung across American, making attendance costly in not only money, but time.

For the Hoya Nation in and around the Washington, DC/Baltimore area this weekend, Team Melo's Crab City Fall Classic, to be played at the University of Maryland's Comcast Center, provides a virtual bonanza of Georgetown recruiting targets for attendees to see. The following student-athletes, linked in various degrees to Georgetown's recruiting efforts are scheduled to attend: senior commits Jason Clark and Henry Sims, sophomore guard Josh Selby, junior guard Najee Hibbert, along with junior forward Dante Taylor. There is a possibility both class of 2008 center Chris Braswell - who will be a Hoya - and junior guard Maurice Creek could also participate.
