Video Interview: Boubacar Cissoko

Michigan's first commitment for the class of 2008, cornerback Boubacar Cissoko started off his senior season on Saturday, as his Detroit Cass team fell 28-6 in a contest with Orchard Lake St. Mary's. Following the game, Cissoko discussed the disappointing loss in an exclusive video interview.

On starting the season off with a loss:

"We've got to regroup, and come back next week with high hopes and just play hard."

On his team's defense:

"Defensively, I think we got tired because our sideline is short. But we gave all we have. Me myself, I messed up on one play where I came back and tried to make a play, but like I said, we've just got to regroup and come back next week."

On the play where he was beat:

"I came in and I was very tired, and they had brought in a fresh receiver, and I think I slipped a little bit. I saw the ball coming, and then my helmet kind of came down in my eyes, and I missed the ball."

On improving offensively:

"We've just got to come in as a team because the coach can't do everything for us. Just come out and just play."

On what he needs to do personally and as a leader to help the team improve:

"We've got practice tomorrow, so I told everybody to come out and strap their helmets up, and just come out and have a real good practice, and get ready for all the season."

On living up to the expectations on him:

"Sometimes it is tough, but when I'm on the field, I don't think about that. Because I came from a long way playing this sport. This is my fourth year playing football. I didn't really think about that. I just wanted to come out and do my thing."
