New Jersey LB adds offer from Tech

Roxbury (N.J.) linebacker Brendan Beal has been a popular guy over the last couple months. Schools from all over the country, including Georgia Tech, have been in contact to offer scholarships to the 6-foot-4, 235-pound middle linebacker. Beal is now up to 21 total offers.

"I got the offer from Georgia Tech last week," Beal said. "Their coach contacted my head coach and told him to send the film. I knew Georgia Tech was a pretty good school and he sent it out right away. Then I started getting in contact with Coach Chan Gailey. We talked a couple times before he even saw the tape. He told me he heard a bunch of great things about me and he was pumped to see the film. Once he got it, he got out of his dinner to go watch it. I thought that was pretty cool. He told me that he thought it was sick, he fell in love with it and he said he hasn't seen any other players do what I have the ability to do. I think that night he pulled the linebackers coach out too and then once he saw it he said, 'We've got to offer this kid.' I was pretty excited and I know he was."
