Athens NIKE Camp Defensive Preview

The fourth stop for the NIKE Camp tour this spring is the University of Georgia. The tour has already been to the University of Miami, Southern Cal, and Texas A&M. This Saturday, April 29, Athens will be the place to be if you want to compete with the best athletes. We will take a look at some of the best defensive prospects we expect to see in Athens this weekend.

The state of Georgia looks to be deep and very talented this year and a lot of that talent will be on display in Athens this weekend.

We will take a look at some of the top defenders we expect to see from Georgia and surrounding states.

Defensive Line

Two of the top defensive linemen that we expect to see in Athens this weekend are Cameron Heyward and D.J. Stafford.

Heyward and Stafford come from the Peach State and both have between 5-10 offers at this time. Heyward is a defensive tackle that moves very well for a guy his size and Stafford is an end right now, but could move inside on the next level.

Those tWO may headline the field, but defensive line looks to be a very good and deep position this weekend.

Other names to look for are Neland Ball, Ted Laurent (Ole Miss Commit), Korenthius Bailey (Mississippi State Commit), Justin Houston (DE/LB), [DB]Logan Walls[/db], T.J. Greenstone, Jeremy Elder, Dion Armstrong, Drew Taylor, Jamison Wadley, and Shane McCord.

On the offensive side of the ball, offensive line looked to be a very talented position and on the defensive side, D-Line looks to be equally as impressive.
