Sean Nuernberger

6-foot-2, 230 lbs.

Buckner (Ky.)

Oldham County HS

Status: Enrolled

The Buckeyes knew they needed to take a kicker after the graduation of Drew Basil and pretty much had an open comeptition at the school's kicking camp and Ohio State offered Nuernberger and he jumped on the offer. Nuernberger is already enrolled and has announced that he has dropped weight since enrolling at Ohio State and getting in the weight program and will enter spring ball as the prohibitive favorite to hold the kicking duties starting in 2014.

Scouting Report: "While this position doesn't get a lot of fan fare, it was crucial that the Buckeyes get a top shelf prospect here in this class with Basil graduating. Nuernberger has enrolled early and barring something unforeseen, he'll be the Buckeyes' place kicker this fall. Nuernberger was the kicker that the Ohio State coaches were most impressed with at their camp in June as they offered him on the spot. He has a big leg, setting the Kentucky record this fall by hitting from 59 yards and coming into Ohio State at about 230-pounds he is able to use his size and natural strength to his advantage to generate some serious power." - Givler
