The Buckeyes made a move on Collier after several targets on their recruiting board ended up elsewhere but Georgia product held offers from 10 other schools including Harvard. The thing that gets lost is that the Buckeyes did pursue Collier and has several other quarterbacks on the board at the same time and decided to make an all-in push to land the commitment of Collier. The first semester Buckeye is already reporting that he has gained 10 pounds of muscle and is making the adjustment from playing college in a smaller division in Georgia to being a college athlete getting ready to go through his first spring camp.

Scouting Report: "I went down to Georgia to see Collier this fall after watching him in June at the Ohio State camp and one thing about him is that he is very well accustomed to the style of offense that Urban Meyer and Tom Herman want to run at Ohio State. Collier comes from a spread system and is used to doing all of the same things that Meyer and Herman ask their quarterbacks to do at Ohio State. Collier showed a good command of the offense and throws an accurate football. As a passer, he'll need to continue to get stronger and to try and increase his arm strength. As a runner, Collier isn't a dynamic athlete but he is more than athletic enough to keep defenses honest and he is a big body that is tough to bring down in the open field." - Givler
