Buckeyes fans had to go through two recruitments of the Rivals100 offensive lineman. One ended in June when Ohio State landed him over the likes of Michigan State and others but a late push by Sparty opened up a window of concern for Ohio State fans with a final week official visit to East Lansing (Mich.) but the Buckeyes came out on top again. When Jones picked initially the Buckyes also beat out Michigan and Notre Dame but it always seemed that the lineman was torn between OSU and MSU and the Bucks dodged a last second bullet in the end.

Scouting Report: "I was really encouraged to see him come back as strong as he did at the Under Armour game. Missing six months with that shoulder injury and when you're talking about a shoulder injury with an offensive lineman, that's very concerning. He bounced back and had a very solid Under Armour game. He plays longer than he initially looks. When I first saw him I thought he was kind of sawed off but he has really long arms and he is probably a legit 6-foot-5 and on top of that, the thing that makes him an elite player is his athleticism at his size." - Midwest analyst Josh Helmholdt
