Ohio OL excited about offer

Ohio offensive lineman Sean Welsh is up to ten scholarship offers with the latest coming from the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Welsh picked up the offer from the Iowa coaching staff on Friday after offensive line coach Brian Ferentz made a stop at Springboro High School the previous week.

"We were about to go out and warm up for our workout on Friday when my head coach pulled me into his office and told me that Iowa was going to offer me," said Welsh. "So we got Coach Brian Ferentz on the phone and we talked for a little bit. He actually came by the school about a week ago. Then he made it official and offered me on Friday."

Iowa joins Kentucky, Indiana, Cincinnati, and several MAC schools on Welsh's current list of offers.
