Rivals100 QB high on Oregon

Quarterback Troy Williams was a tremendous weapon for Narbonne high school in 2011. Accounting for 45 Gaucho touchdowns between his running and passing, the Rivals100 standout shows a strong arm and good touch on film.

Duck Sports Authority spoke with the Harbor City (Calif.) star to get an update on his recruitment, starting with a question of whether he considers himself a pro-style quarterback.

"Yes I'm a pass-first guy," Williams replied. "I run if I need to but when I run I keep trying to make plays to throw the ball so I agree I am pass-first player."

His junior highlight clips reveal a number of keeps called for him, along with the corresponding touchdowns.

"We had a lot of called running plays for me," Williams agreed. "They wanted me to run the ball and be a factor with my legs and to be a threat with them. So we did run me a lot."

As far as recruiting goes, Williams knows all about a former Oregon quarterback and can see himself as a similar fit.
