It was an exciting day for one of the Midwest's top overall prospects as Crete (Ill.) Monee wide receiver Laquon Treadwell added two big offers to his ever-expanding list. The latest two powerhouse programs to offer the 6-foot-3, 183-pound prospect were Ohio State and USC. The two offers bump Treadwell's list up to eight and that list will surely keep growing throughout the winter. Treadwell commented on each of the two offers he landed on Tuesday.

On Ohio State - "I was excited, it was great news. I called them after I got out of school. I had talked to them the night before and they told me to call them after school (on Tuesday) so I just called them as soon as I got out."

On USC - "That one was great too, I was excited about that one too. It was the same process (as Ohio State) I was talking to them and they told me to give them a call after school."

Treadwell's main recruiter from Ohio State to this point has been new wide receiver's coach Zach Smith. The athletic pass catcher has said that he will be making an attempt to be at Ohio State's junior day on February 18th.

In the mean time, Treadwell has unofficial visits lined up this weekend to both Michigan and Michigan State, with Michigan having already extended a verbal offer.

Treadwell caught 75 passes for 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior and is expected to be one of the top ranked wide receivers in the nation when the initial Rivals100 for the 2013 class is released on Wednesday afternoon.
