Brown playing through injury

Lyndhurst (Ohio) Brush defensive end Pharaoh Brown hasn't been healthy early in his high school season. A foot injury has caused him to miss most of his season so far. With the Arcs taking on an overmatched Valley Forge team on Friday, Brown's playing time was limited due to the injury.

Though he would have played more against Valley Forge if his team needed him, Brown still wasn't at full strength. Brush's coaching staff hoped that resting him for most of this game would help him get healthy for conference play.

Brown visited Michigan for the night game against Notre Dame a couple weeks ago, and came away impressed. Like most of the recruits in attendance, the stadium atmosphere blew him away.

Michigan's coaching staff spent most of their energy preparing for Notre Dame that day, so Brown only got the opportunity to talk to them briefly. They confirmed that they would like him to play defensive end in college. Brown won't be too upset to end his days as a two-way player, though.

Video from Brown's (brief) performance coming soon on TheWolverine.com.
