King talks commitment

As close followers of the Vols' recruiting efforts are well aware, Tennessee began the week with just two commitments in the Class of 2012. Matters changed dramatically to start the week however, and by Monday afternoon that number had doubled with the pledges from wide receiver Drae Bowles and Justin King.

Bowles' move was the first to leak this morning, but not long after, King also announced for the Vols. King, from Dunwoody, Ga., said that after a lot of time thinking about his decision, he knew it felt right.

A great deal of his decision had to do with his family and the fact that they would be able to see both his brother, who plays at Tennessee Tech, and himself play in one trip. That, combined with top notch athletics and academics sealed the deal.

King made the call around noon and said Tennessee coaches Peter Sirmon and Justin Wilcox were excited to hear the news.

Rivals.com rates King as a three-star prospect and the No. 64 athlete in the nation.
