Appleby staying busy

Ohio quarterback Austin Appleby is staying busy this summer with a number of college camps on his schedule. This past weekend, the 6-foot-5, 228-pound Appleby found himself in Iowa City for a one-day camp with the Hawkeyes. The signal caller talks about how he did, the feedback he received from the Iowa coaching staff, and much more.

Q: How did Iowa's camp go on Saturday?

APPLEBY: I thought it went great. I got a chance to workout with everybody and strike up a relationship with Coach O'Keefe. I got to get on the board with him and I thought I really excelled there. He said I was real sharp when we got a chance to talk football and discuss different concepts. Then on the field I did my thing, so it was cool.

As a junior, Appleby missed three games due to a sprained MCL, but still managed to complete 93 of 187 pass attempts for 1,427 yards and 14 touchdowns at Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio. Currently, he holds scholarship offers from Louisville, Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Miami of Ohio, Temple, Toledo, Western Michigan, and Western Kentucky.
