Fisher starts big day for Ducks

National signing day is upon us and Oregon started strong landing Traverse City, MI offensive lineman Jacob Fisher. Fisher had taken a recent visit to Eugene and all signs had pointed to a Duck commitment and Fisher didn't disappoint. Duck Sports Authority spoke to Fisher shortly after his commitment and asked him what made Oregon stand out amongst the rest.

"I just liked the coaching staff and how most of the coaches have been there for a really long time," said Fisher. "I liked the strength coach and everything he can do and coach Kelly is a really good coach. I like the players and how they really buy into the system and they're all together and on the same page. Everybody just wants to win.

"Academically, the support that they give you and the opportunity that they give you for success is incredible," continued Fisher.

Fisher had committed to play for coach Rich Rodriguez and the Michigan Wolverines but when Michigan made a coaching change Fisher chose to decommit.

"It kind of opened my eyes up and made me want to explore a little bit and see what I could find and I found a better place for me," explained Fisher.
