McReynolds has recruiting on hold
Kevin McReynolds is Rivals' 226th ranked player and is taking some time away from the recruiting trail to focus on his season. The four star prospect took some time recently to talk with Duck Sports Authority about his process and who is still in the picture.
"It's going good. Right now I've kind of put it on hold a little bit cause it's a little crazy trying to finish my academics for the school year and I'm in football season right now," stated McReynolds.
McReynolds has taken a very unique approach to his recruiting process so far. He has assembled a group of people that he trusts to help guide him through the process as well as help him look at things objectively. McReynolds has also used social networking sites and has even incorporated his own website to help show fans as well as coaches what he is doing to be a better player. The group he has assembled will be an integral part of his decision when the time comes.
"It's a decision between my family, all my coaches and my training staff to see what's the best fit for me and where I'll grow up at and where I can go in and develop as more than a football player and as a man and as a person in my community.
We look at everything you know. The big picture," continued McReynolds. "Where I would fit in, the coaching staff, academic help, you know all of that. It all builds into the process for me."
McReynolds is a strong, athletic defensive tackle with over 40 offers including Ohio State, Penn State, UCLA and Oregon. The Ducks are considered to be one of the top contenders for his services along with Arkansas and UCLA. McReynolds will take official visits to the three schools listed along with two others that have yet to be determined. It is thought that Maryland and Illinois are also under strong consideration.
