Will Huskies offer DB Miller?
Though Woodbridge (Va.) C.D. Hylton cornerback Dominique Miller is still waiting on his first offer, he is keeping his chin up. After all, he has received interest from the likes of Connecticut, Virginia and Auburn and will visit Richmond and Delaware this weekend.
"I'm real excited about visiting Richmond and Delaware," said Miller. "I feel like I could come away with an offer."
Along with UConn, Miller is waiting to hear back from some larger schools like Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia . Contact from the Huskies has been limited.
"They told me that they received my film and the coaches have emailed me," said Miller. "They also invited me to camp, but that's about it."
The trip to Storrs never happened, since it fell on the same day as another camp he had planned to attend. However, if UConn were to extend another invitation, Miller would jump at the chance.
"I would love to visit," he said, "and an offer would be very exciting."
Though he has no offers yet, Miller believes he is close. Regardless, he plans on taking his time before ultimately making a decision.
"It's something I'm comfortable letting drag out toward national signing day," said Miller. "I'm in no rush. I want to find a place that really fits me."
When that first offer finally comes, it will be a huge weight off the 5-foot-9, 162-pound prospect's shoulders.
"If I could get that first offer it would be the biggest relief," said Miller. "I'd be so grateful and thankful."
