Return trip planned

Class of 2011 standout Albert Louis-Jean has already attended one of Boston College's home games this year, and he enjoyed it so much he has been wanting to make it out to another. He was supposed to be in town this past weekend for the Eagles' game against Central Michigan, but a scheduling conflict has him making other plans.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound defensive back from Brockton is undoubtedly one of Massachusetts' top junior prospects as evidenced by his early offer from BC, as well as early interest from schools like Alabama, Miami, Georgia, Notre Dame, NC State, Virginia and UConn.

Despite all that interest, the Eagles appear to be in a good position with Louis-Jean. The young man has spoken with several times over the past few weeks and each time he has had nice things to say about BC.

"I was asked to go but I couldn't due to a scheduling issue," Louis-Jean said of the BC-Central Michigan game over the weekend. "We had a game on Friday and then we watched a little film on Saturday. I should be there for the UNC game, though. We don't have a game on that day."

Louis-Jean and Brockton had a memorable game on Friday. They were knotted up in a scoreless game against Leominster after Brockton came up with a big goal line stand at the end of the first half, and eventually pulled out a 13-9 victory in a hard fought contest. Louis-Jean was held to just one catch for 20 yards, largely because he faced double and triple teams the entire game, but he did make several tackles defensively.

Seeing as how Louis-Jean will be making a return trip to BC in the very near future, is it a safe bet that BC is near the top of his list?

"I haven't talked to them the last few days, but last week I talked to coach (Sean) Devine," he explained. "We e-mail each other a lot, and we he gets time and my schedule is free I call him and we just have a regular conversation. He asks me about everyday things like football, school and my family. He's just a regular person.

"I like them (BC) a lot. It's a great school to go to and they have a great football program. They have my major (accounting) and I like that a lot."
