Howard ready to visit Chapel Hill

Miami (Fla.) Krop cornerback Travis Howard has already visited multiple schools over the past few months, and before his senior season begins, he has another visit planned, this one to Chapel Hill. The 6-0, 172-pound Howard, a three-star prospect and the No. 35 cornerback in the country, plans to make the trip to UNC for the program's final summer camp along with another player high on the Tar Heel wish list; his teammate, four-star linebacker Etienne Sabino.

"I'm going on a visit to North Carolina July 19th," he said. "I'm just mainly wanting to see the players and the coaches, and see how the academics are (at UNC). I've heard they are top five academically in the country. Also, I'm excited to meet the coaches and spend some time with them. I've only met Coach (Chuck) Pagano. He came to the school and evaluated me. I didn't get to talk to him much when he came (per NCAA rules), so I'm excited to get to spend time with them, see how they work, and work out in front of them."
