It's an outstanding year for safeties in the state of Ohio for the 2013 class and on Tuesday morning one of the best, Toledo Central Catholic four-star Jayme Thompson, made a phone call to Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer. That phone call resulted in an offer from the Buckeyes to the West Virginia commit.

Thompson committed to the Mountaineers the day after National Signing Day and since that time has blown up with some big offers from schools such as Nebraska, Notre Dame, and now Ohio State. Ohio State had recently started to turn up the heat on Thompson after evaluating his junior game film.

Thompson is the No. 146 ranked player in the nation by Rivals.com.
