The Grove Show: Episode 10
COLUMBUS, Ohio--It came as no surprise to anyone that has been following the career of Bradley Roby, but Urban Meyer announced Wednesday evening after practice that the redshirt junior cornerback would be headed to the NFL following this season.
"We talked," Meyer said. "He's going to move on. That's all you ask. You don't ask for five years nowadays. It's no secret. I think it's great for him and great for Ohio State."
Is Roby the only Buckeye that will be leaving school early? Maybe. Braxton Miller and Ryan Shazier were both asked if Saturday would be the final time they will play in Ohio Stadium. Both said they "haven't thought about it." They're clearly lying. Anyone with a future in the NFL has to think about leaving school early. And you can't blame them. The question, though, is will they? Or maybe more importantly, should they?
Another player with a future in the NFL is Florida State's Jameis Winston. The quarterback's future is bright, his present situation, though, is murky. Winston is at the center of a sexual assault accusation, and is possible that he could get suspended if charges are filed. If Winston is suspended, could Ohio State jump the Seminoles and secure a berth in the national championship?
We discuss this, the men's basketball team, and make our weekly picks in Episode 10 of The Grove Show.
