When Greg Scruggs began playing football this season for the first time since the sixth grade, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound defensive end from Cincinnati, Ohio hoped to earn a free ride to college. He met that goal early in the 2007 season and Monday he picked up an offer from an SEC power.
