Whitlock loves UA visit
The defensive side of the football is a major priority for Alabama head coach Nick Saban in the 2008 recruiting class and Rivals250 cornerback Charles Whitlock could be the marquee player needed to help cement a top five class for the Crimson Tide. This weekend Whitlock, the nation's No. 9 cornerback prospect, visited Tuscaloosa for Alabama's home SEC opener against Arkansas and came away impressed with the experience.
Whitlock, 5-foot-11, 172-pounds, got a chance to watch the team prepare for the game in the locker room and said he liked the way the Tide coaches interact with the players.
After the visit, the Crimson Tide are in good standing with the South Carolina native but Whitlock said his recruitment is still wide open at this point.
