Multi-sport stars visit WVU football
Two multi-sport stars who know a good deal about winning recently paid visits to West Virginia's football program.
Tight end Shawn Walker of Edinboro (Pa.) General McClane came for Junior Day. He was offered later and said Monday the Mountaineers topped his list. He has also been promised scholarships at Temple, Akron and others.
Meanwhile, four-star cornerback Jarred Holley and his parents from Easton, Pa., visited with Coach Rod, the head man's football and support staffs last weekend at the start of the Mountaineers' team camp. The Holleys were scheduled to move on to Pitt and Penn State on their recruiting trip.
Of the two, Holley is obviously the most highly recruited. WVU, Notre Dame, Florida, Michigan and about 20 others have offered the Rivals Top 250 shut-down CB.
