The Oregon Ducks have been looking to sign a quarterback following backup Bryan Bennett's decision to transfer. On Wednesday they got what they were looking for when Coach Helfrich got a call from Damion Hobbs tendering his verbal commitment.

"I had to follow my heart in the process," explained Hobbs of his decision.

Last weekend the 6-foot-3, 220-pound signal-caller made an official visit to Eugene where he got an offer from the Ducks.
