Sooners Aren't Stuck in-state for Quarterback
Much has been made of the quarterback class within the state of Oklahoma. The trio of David Cornwell, Justice Hansen, and Coleman Key has drawn great amounts of notoriety and acclaim but that doesn't mean that Josh Heupel has shut down his search to the Oklahoma boarders.
Recently Heupel decided to have a look beyond the border made by the Red River and came away impressed by Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal standout Foster Sawyer. And in a bit of good news for Heupel and the Oklahoma staff it appears the interest is reciprocal.
"I actually came from a different school. My old school, I went to Grace Prep, and my head coach Richard Reed played at Oklahoma, so since my freshman year I've gone to their football camp," Sawyer explained about where his interest began.
"I knew when I was a freshman they put me with the seniors but I don't know if coach Heupel was that aware. The past couple of weeks they've stopped by and talked to my coaches and asked me to come down (for junior day)."
