Recruiting weekends just don't get much bigger than the one that Ohio State will be hosting this Saturday when the Buckeyes host Nebraska under the lights in Ohio Stadium. With just a few spots currently available in the 2013 recruiting class, a high percentage of the Buckeyes' remaining targets are expected to make it to campus on Saturday for unofficial visits.

Three offered seniors from the Buckeye State help comprise the star-studded group in Cleveland Glenville athlete Christopher Worley, Shaker Heights two-way lineman Donovan Munger, and Cleveland Heights wide receiver Shelton Gibson. Gibson, a four-star prospect and a member of the Rivals100 headlines the group and has been a key target at wide receiver since the first day Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer took the job last November. Gibson was the first Ohioan in the 2013 class to receive an offer from Meyer and the Buckeyes are hoping to add a player with his type of speed to the wide receiver position.

The out-of-state contingent could be even stronger with a trio of four-star prospects making the trip to Columbus. Belle Vernon (Pa.) offensive tackle Dorian Johnson may be the highest priority of the group, given the need to add another quality offensive tackle in the 2013 recruiting class. Johnson originally committed to Penn State over Pitt, Ohio State, and West Virginia but has since re-opened his recruitment and most think this is a Pitt/Ohio State battle. While the Panthers may hold the edge coming into the weekend, getting Johnson to come in on his own dime for an unofficial visit is a big step for the Buckeyes in this recruitment.

Not to be overshadowed by the massive lineman are a pair of big-time prospects out of Louisville (Ky.) Trinity in wide receiver James Quick and defensive end Jason Hatcher. The Buckeyes have long coveted Quick, owner of the Kentucky high school record in the 200-meters and are currently in a battle with both Louisville and Oregon for the services of one of the nation's top receivers. Hatcher was a late addition to the list. The four-star prospect is committed to USC but will be heading up to Columbus with Quick to check things out.

A pair of unoffered class of 2013 prospects will also be taking in the game day atmosphere in Columbus in Cleveland Heights athlete De'Niro Laster and Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin County athlete Ryan Timmons. Laster had a good night at Ohio State's Friday Night Lights camp in July and is being evaluated as a hybrid wide receiver/tight end type of prospect. Timmons also turned in a strong performance at Ohio State's Friday Night Lights camp and is a threat to score every time he touches the football.

The star-studded list of seniors will be welcomed by more than half of the current Ohio State recruiting class. Most of the commits from the state of Ohio will be in attendance on Saturday but perhaps even more impress is the fact that out-of-state commits such as St. Louis (Mo.) running back Ezekiel Elliott, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) defensive end Joey Bosa, and Voorhees (N.J.) defensive back Eli Woodard will also be making the trip to help the coaching staff with its recruiting efforts.

Class of 2014

Marshon Lattimore
Athlete
6-foot, 185 pounds
Cleveland (Ohio)
Allen Lazard
Wide Receiver
6-foot-4, 190 pounds
Urbandale (Iowa)
Marcelys Jones
Offensive Guard
6-foot-4, 325 pounds
Cleveland (Ohio)
DeShone Kizer
Quarterback
6-foot-4, 205 pound
Toledo (Ohio)
Tinashe Bere

6-foot-1, 210 pounds
Cincinnati (Ohio)
Nick Richardson
Offensive Tackle
6-foot-4, 280 pounds
Westerville (Ohio)
Todd Kelly, Jr.
Safety
6-foot-1, 190 pounds
Knoxville (Tenn.)
Kyle Trout

Offensive Tackle
6-foot-6, 280 pounds
Lancaster (Ohio)
Nacarius Fant
Wide Receiver
5-foot-11, 175 pounds
Bowling Green (Ky.)

While the clear focus will be on the half-dozen offered seniors, the class of 2014 will also be very well represented. In fact, three juniors that currently hold Buckeye offers will be in 'The Shoe' on Saturday night. Glenville teammates, athlete Marshon Lattimore and offensive lineman Marcelys Jones, will be making the trip as will Knoxville (Tenn.) Webb School safety Todd Kelly.

With Lattimore and Kelly, the Buckeyes are hosting a pair of prospects that could very well be the No. 1 ranked juniors in their respective states.

The junior star power does not stop there, however, as one of the Midwest's top junior wide receivers, Urbandale (Iowa) product Allen Lazard is also expected to make the trip. Lazard holds early offers from Iowa, Iowa State, and Nebraska and an offer from the Buckeyes this weekend wouldn't be a surprise. Lazard isn't the only impressive junior receiver from outside of Ohio that is expected as Bowling Green (Ky.) product Nacarius Fant will be making the trip as well. Fant holds a pair of early offers from Illinois and Western Kentucky.

As always, the state of Ohio will be represented with several of the state's top juniors expected. Lancaster offensive lineman Kyle Trout, Toledo Central Catholic quarterback DeShone Kizer, Westerville Central offensive lineman Nick Richardson, and Cincinnati Sycamore linebacker Tinashe Bere are among the headliners that plan to take in the game on Saturday night.
