Gant connects with future teammates
Sylvania (Ohio) Southview safety Allen Gant attended nearly every home football game in Ann Arbor this season as an unofficial visitor. The Michigan commit took the next step this weekend, using his unofficial to visit the campus he will soon be calling home.
The list of activities was extensive, and included plenty of time getting to know the members of Michigan's current team, as well as those who are joining Gant in the 2012 recruiting class. It wasn't all social time, however.
Gant also had the opportunity to sit down with Michigan's coaches and discuss his role with the team. He was recruited as a safety, but played mostly linebacker as a high school senior. The versatile 6-2, 210-pounder will get a chance to do a little of each once he gets to the next level.
With so many positives experiences on the weekend, it was tough for Gant to single out a favorite part. However, the relationship-building with his future teammates was tough to top.
