Long Beach (Calif.) Poly linebacker Corey Waller had almost given up on USC. Throughout the spring and summer, Waller had been a mainstay on the Trojans campus.

Hitting practices, camps and games at USC, the opportunity to suit up in cardinal and gold seemed to have past.

That was until he got a call from USC assistant coach Kennedy Pola Tuesday.
