Dover (Del.) offensive tackle Trip Thurman may currently be committed to the Florida Gators, but the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Rivals250 lineman was once a Tennessee fan while growing up in a Volunteer household.

His mother is a UT graduate, while his father is from the Knoxville area. In this instance, a Gator commit having such close ties to the Volunteers actually worked out as positive.
