Gator WR target Story to play QB
When Mark Nash, a noted passing coach, took over at Brooksville (Fla.) Nature Coast earlier this year, he talked about how excited he was to have a gifted receiver such as Ja'Juan Story and how he planned to throw his way often.
That, however, was easier said than done.
During spring practice, it became "painfully obvious" to Nash and his staff the Sharks didn't have a quarterback capable of getting the ball to the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Gator target as often as they liked.
So Nash decided to make a switch.
"Ja'Juan is our starting quarterback from now on," Nash said.
A year ago, Story, who has offers from the likes of Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame and numerous others, was the team's backup quarterback. That offense ran the veer. Now, Story will be in the shotgun, which Nash thinks is even better suited for the speedster's playmaking abilities.
